Located in the heart of Buckeye, Arizona, Indian Food - Punjabi Dhaba offers an authentic taste of India’s rich culinary heritage right off the freeway at 25240 W Pima St. This Indian restaurant serves up bold and traditional flavors, specializing in Punjabi cuisine that is both vibrant and comforting. If you’re craving a meal that is indulgent yet wholesome, Punjabi Dhaba invites you to experience their carefully crafted dishes that celebrate the essence of Indian spices and cooking techniques.
From the moment you take your first bite of their Tandoori Chicken, you’ll understand why this dish remains a staple favorite—succulent chicken marinated in a symphony of spices, slow-cooked in the tandoor until tender and smoky. Their Butter Chicken (16oz) offers a luscious, creamy sauce that melts on your palate, perfectly balanced with fragrant spices that warm and excite your senses. For those who love a variety, the Thali presents a wholesome tasting platter, capturing the harmony of multiple dishes in one meal.
Vegetarian diners will delight in options like Saag Paneer—a smooth, perfectly seasoned spinach base with tender cubes of fresh paneer that feels indulgent but light. The Matter Paneer (16oz) highlights fresh peas and paneer bathed in a rich red gravy, a dish that received heartfelt praise for its depth of flavor and comforting aroma. And don’t miss the fragrant Chicken Biryani (16oz), a celebration of spiced rice and tender meat layered with a blend of herbs and a subtle kick.
Dining here is like stepping into a friendly neighborhood dhaba – unpretentious, warm, and deeply satisfying. While the rustic setting reflects an honest, “hole in the wall” charm, the food speaks volumes, drawing diners back repeatedly. Whether it’s the buttery Chicken Tikka Masala & Rice or the crisp and savory Samosa (2 pieces), each dish tastes like a celebration of Indian culinary tradition. Customers rave about the bold and vibrant flavors, but also appreciate the thoughtful touches such as the complimentary onion, pickles, and homemade achar (Indian pickle), which add layers of tang and zest to every bite.
To complement your meal, indulge in the traditional Sweet Lassi (16oz) or the fresh, creamy Dahi (yogurt, 16oz). The lassi is a perfect blend of sweetness and cool creaminess that not only refreshes but also balances the spices on your palate. The dahi, made fresh daily, serves as a classic condiment to soothe and enrich your dining experience. These drinks round out the meal, elevating your visit from just eating to a truly immersive cultural feast.
Many customers speak highly of the attentive and welcoming service, noting the owner’s graciousness and readiness to ensure each dish is made just right. Some repeat diners suggest confirming spice levels with the kitchen to get that perfect kick—testament to the restaurant’s dedication to creating a tailored, memorable dining experience. While the naan and tandoori roti have room for improvement, the overall culinary journey here far outweighs any slight imperfections.
Indian Food - Punjabi Dhaba stands out as Buckeye’s go-to spot for authentic Indian flavors in a relaxed, unpretentious setting. I’ve eaten at Punjabi Dhaba four days in a row, and that should tell you something—it’s that good. I ordered the vegetable korma at spice level 7, and when they get it right, it’s absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and perfectly spicy with a great balance of herbs and creaminess. That said, two out of the four days, the spice level wasn’t correct, so I’d definitely recommend double-checking your spice level when ordering. Even when the spice level was off, the bold flavors and seasoning still stood out, which says a lot about how well they season their food. This is honestly my favorite Indian restaurant in the area. The food is consistently amazing, even if the customer service isn’t always top-notch. I’m willing to overlook that because the dishes keep me coming back!
Naan and tandoori roti isn’t the best but I’m still giving five star because of two reason; one, the butter chicken and tandoori chicken was delicious and two at least there’s an Indian restaurant in Buckeye finally If you just order online you wouldn’t know but for me few months back I went to the store and I didn’t get myself to order anything because the place didn’t look good at all. Yesterday I felt like giving it a try and to my surprise it exceeded my expectations! Way to go Punjabi Dhaba !
I’m Trinidadian ???????? and Puerto Rican ???????? So I grew up eating authentic island dishes Now, I’ve got the Spanish cuisines down pact.. but, I’ve been searching for food that reminded me of my West Indian roots and I finally found one!!!! This place is like a hole in the wall and you know those holes in the walls are hidden treasures! A true delicacy…I’m so happy I stumbled upon this place!! I got the Curry Goat and Roti w/ Rice…the food is affordable, with a range of spice levels to choose from..A1 tip tier! Customer service was respectable and very sweet. Quick service. Will definitely be coming again. Thank you
The price of the food is reasonable. Each dish costs like around $15 which is common rate. We have tried saag paneer and the dish was super. You can see the spinach mash good not mushy. And we tried chicken curry which is also good but the gravy is little bit runny. What we liked is they have give us onion and chilli by default. Along with that little bit of mixed veg achar. They have this special drink in multiple flavors with coconut milk. Atmosphere is good not like typical truck atmosphere. Tables and everything are pretty new and clean inside. Restrooms are neatly maintained. Wash area is separate. It is named as speedy india.n restaurant to let others understand.
Takes a minute to find it, it's off the freeway and at the end of the road, it's part of a truck wash and it's hard to read the sign but it's worth it. Food was very good -- the dahl had a gentle kick to it that I really appreciated and the Mattar panner (peas and paneer in a red sauce ) was downright delicious. The man who runs the place was very helpful and gracious. Fantastic dhaba.
This was my first time trying this place, and I have to give it 5 stars for the service and food. The employees are super friendly, and the food was amazing. I had chicken tikka masala and garlic naan, it was probably the best indian meal i’ve had in the valley. The mango lassi was also pretty good, it was my first time trying it and I enjoyed it a lot! 100% worth my time and money, highly recommend
Punjabi dhaba is a MUST try! I ordered the chicken tikka masala & garlic naan. It was so rich & flavorful. I was parked at the Loves & stumbled across this place & the food exceeded my expectations. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in the area.
